I have written about Bali a couple of times so far and there’s still a lot to say.
What is there to make this place so special?
When you travel with an agency you’re ready to get everything on a platter, not preparing yourself for the destination, no reading, no investigating. Just following the advice that you’ve been given.
On the other side, reading and investigating is time consuming and requires dedication.
We chose the royal treatment.
Luckily we did not get many instructions, so most of our vacation went spontaneously.
We started with a toast for unforgettable moments in a sea food restaurant in Jimbaran area.
Local cuisine is absolutely must try, in my opinion it tells you much about the culture and its influences.
Sounds of pleasant music were mixed with delicious food by the ocean…!
For the main course we picked up sea specialties that looked as weird as possible…
After the dinner and a couple of drinks, we joined the musicians… neither the rain nor the beginning of rainy season could have spoiled our night.
While on beach, do not miss the massage that local inhabitants offer for a little money.
Of course there are a lot of souvenirs and services they offer.
I try to keep in mind that exchange of resources brings happiness to both sides – little money that will perhaps do much for them and little pleasure that will make your day brighter.
Their eyes will show you gratitude and appreciation.
Enjoy the ocean as much or better – try surfing since everyone else does!
Find time to visit one of the majestic Hindu temples on the island – our choice was Mother Temple.
Attend a praying ceremony – it will bring a sense of calmness and devotion to your soul.
Blend with the locals…
…and since you’re in Bali – party like crazy!!!
Attend a traditional dancing show – it is very cultural and delightful experience…
And one more thing – don’t leave Bali without observing a sunset from Kuta Beach or Tanah Lot (west coast).
